X men II

Hi everyone, I watched x men II and I think it would be a good movie to watch cause there's a lot of action: running, killing, screaming, etc. So please watch it and if you have another suggestion, le us know ok? The movie ado morning isn't on Dec 9th but on Dec 16th, ooops, sorry. That gives us some more time to plan the whole thing though. What I suggest is to divide the ss into three groups : all conversations together, cycle 1 and 2 together , and cycle 3 and 4 together as well. What do you think?

see you

Guide wanted for Jersey!

Hi all,

Any of ye interested in going to Jersey with the group?... We need volunteers!
As you all know now, we're having a meeting next Wednesday @ 8pm to organise the trip, but we don't know who will be going with them yet. Unfortunately, we - Juliet, Aline, Jessica and Nadine- won't be able to go :-(
It should be fun though...

So, think about it and get back to us asap. Thanks,

nadine

Teenage Penfriend

Hi everyone,

A teenage student of mine (Dima ) would really like to have a penfriend. Does anyone have a contact for her?

Her English is quite good and she is a nice girl. She is 16 .

Thanks

Aline

Batman begins!!

Hi you guys, have you read my message on the teen blog? Well the thing is that we don't have the movie superman returns cause it just came out in the States and if we want it we'll have to download it. I don't know how to do that, if you can do that, please let me know and make two copies. Another possible solution is to watch another movie and I just watched Batman begins. It could be a solution, or we can watch another one, suggestions?

I have a book I use to prepare video activities, I found some activities. I'll make some copies and leave them in your pidgeon holes. did I spell it correctly?

We need to make a decision as soon as possible cause the ado morning is on Dec 9.
Aline suggests watching Hellboy or Spiderman I or II, or xmen I and II, what do you think?
cheers

IML English Dept.

English Chat feedback
First of five this year last Monday 13 November.
Went well and the feedback from the participants since has been very encouraging. There were 14 people present and it would seem there will be more next time round. 3 teachers were present which was good and helped a lot to keep the pace going - especially for the first evening as people didn't know each other. A good start and a promising future.

Just a quick message to ask you what you thought of the teen idea. Have you seen it on the teen blog? Let me know if you like it and what the students think. Ta Juliet.

IML English Dept.

Hi everybody!

A student of mine's just sent me this joke.
Check it out:

>EVEN GOD ENJOYS A GOOD LAUGH ...
>
>There were 3 good arguments that Jesus was Black:
>1. He called everyone brother.
>2. He liked Gospel.
>3. He couldn't get a fair trial.
>
>But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Jewish:
>1. He went into His Father's business.
>2. He lived at home until he was 33.
>3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his Mother was sure He was God.
>
>But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Italian:
>1. He talked with His hands.
>2. He had wine with His meals.
>3. He used olive oil.
>
>But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was a Californian:
>1. He never cut His hair.
>2. He walked around barefoot all the time.
>3. He started a new religion.
>
>But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was an American Indian:
>1. He was at peace with nature.
>2. He ate a lot of fish.
>3. He talked about the Great Spirit.
>
>But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Irish:
>1. He never got married.
>2. He was always telling stories.
>3. He loved green pastures.
>
>But the most compelling evidence of all - Three equally good arguments that Jesus was a WOMAN:
>1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was no food.
>2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just didn't get it.
>3. And even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was work to do.

Penfriends

All the penfriends have now gone!! Well done for fixing them up. Thanks to those who have given me the emails too. I need to have them all to check up on things from time to time. Oh yes... you can also tell them about the penfriend blog.

So if you haven't given me your students email, I'll keep an eye out for it.

That's all for now folks!

Juliet
