Dear All
I thought I'd write a thankyou for everyone who participated so actively in the preparation of the meeting last Friday night. Despite the fact we didn't actually meet with an administrator, the outcome is more positive than it may appear. We have shown the need to maintatin administrative meetings for the future and in follow up meetings I have had with the direction this has been confirmed. I reinforced yesterday, with Christophe, the positive aspect of being able to ask questions without the fear of negative reactions and being able to do so in the future not harming anyone's professional position here. I feel as if we have won a little ground and can safely project into the future with more projects, including more people from in and out of the department, speaking and working freely.

Trip to Jersey
We had a great time in Jersey & Brittany. The B&B owners, near Saint Malo were really friendly and the students practiced their English a little with them. We had an English meal on the first night and only spoke English!!! However, I'd say that the language part was only 50% of the objective. The other 50% was to eat, drink and have fun!!!
So our day out in Jersey was great. Lots of sea, sand, sun and.....all the rest. We devided the group into two; one went off on a bus and the others hired a car. At the end of the day everyone was tired but happy.
Now they've told me that next year they'd like to go to Guernsey!!!
